Michael "Boogie" Pinckney, p.g.a., is an accomplished writer, director, and producer with a career spanning film, television. Starting as an assistant director on projects such as Inside Man and Precious and TV hits like Broad City and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Michael honed his craft before transitioning into writing and directing.
His feature film debut, You’re Nobody Til Somebody Kills You, distributed by Lionsgate, and has since written and directed impactful works such as The Trade, an award-winning film about sex trafficking, and the documentary Trafficked: Survival Stories, which premiered on TUBI.
Michael’s directing work includes the heartwarming Christmas movie He Who Findeth, the 7-part docuseries 6 Minutes to Glory about HBCU marching bands for Aspire TV, and Dreamhaus, the first installment in his trilogy book series adaptation. In Season 3 of Terror Lake Drive, the anthology series on the ALLBLK network, he served as a staff writer and directed an episode.
Recently, Michael directed Twisted Hearts, a romantic drama that hit theaters in spring 2024, and wrote and directed Killer Beat, a TUBI Original produced by MarVista Entertainment, which premiered in summer 2024. His latest directorial project, The Creep Two, is the highly anticipated sequel to the viral TUBI sensation, which garnered over 20 million views.
As a Creative Executive at Jax Media, the studio behind Emily in Paris, Russian Doll, A Black Lady Sketch Show, and Broad City, Michael was instrumental in empowering writers, producers, and emerging creatives, helping to nurture their ideas and advance their careers.

Ashlee C. is an accomplished Film Producer, Screenwriter, and Development Specialist with a diverse portfolio that spans both independent and commercial projects. She has been pivotal in bringing to life acclaimed films such as Dreamhaus, The Rhythm, Deception, and the award-winning documentary Trafficked: Survival Stories. In addition to her work in feature films, Ashlee has produced high-impact commercial content for major corporations including Walmart, Pfizer, Pernod Ricard—the world's second-largest wine and spirits seller—and Home Depot, demonstrating her versatility and expertise in the industry.
Passionate about fostering creativity and supporting emerging talent, Ashlee dedicates herself to bridging the gap for independent filmmakers. Her commitment to storytelling excellence is evident in every project she undertakes, where she combines creative vision with strategic development to deliver compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Ashlee’s ability to navigate the complexities of film production while nurturing creative talent sets her apart as a leader in the field.

Michael got his start as an assistant director on films such as “Inside Man” and “Precious” as well as TV shows like “Broad City” and “Law & Order CI” before transitioning to writing and directing. Michael has written features, television pilots, and various digital series. Lionsgate distributed his debut, and his sophomore feature film Unfavorable ODDS premiered in theaters 1n 2022. Michael is a member of the Director’s Guild and Producer Guild of America.
